Navarra authorizes the reduction of teaching hours for teachers over 55 years of age in public centers. In addition, the salaries of the teachers of the concerted network increase by 0.25%.
The Government of Navarra has adopted in its session this Wednesday an agreement that authorizes a budgetary modification to include in the templates of public educational centers in the 2021-2022 academic year the reduction of the working day of a session in Primary Education for the teachers over 55 years old . The measure complies with the agreements signed with the trade union organizations.
In this way, direct teaching is replaced by personal work without pay reduction . The teaching staff will remain at the center throughout the hours, but the reduction time will be used for personal work.
Regarding the subsidized educational centers, at the proposal of the Department of Education, the Government has adopted another agreement by which the module of concerted education referred to staff salaries is increased, in order to continue with the reversal of the salary reduction made in 2012 by application of Royal Decree Law 14/2012.
Specifically, this year the salaries of the staff of these centers rose by 0.25% with retroactive effect as of January 1, 2021, thus continuing with the reversal that began in 2020.
Likewise, the Regional Executive has approved the updating of the Covid modules of the subsidized centers to maintain the measures to reinforce personnel and cleaning included in the prevention protocol for educational centers for the 2021-2022 academic year.
